TITLE, GROUP SHOW Opens at Blue Iris Gallery in Pafos, Saturday 13th October 2018 7;30pm
This group show hosts 4 female artists all with one thing in common ‘paint’. Their work is varied however it does connect through the genres of landscape and still life. Katie Sabry is concerned with the spiritual connection of places she has visited. Using gestural mark making and focusing on dreamlike colours, her paintings develop through her compositions. Sheila Raven’s urban landscapes explore a history of architectural development within a metropolis recording forever changing viewpoints through her observational paintings. Kelly Norman’s lyrical large scale drawings and paintings of rockscapes take on a life form of their own becoming almost monster like. Julie Menelaou’s rehearsed still lifes explore an element of absence and presence that form a narrative.
